Charles Pero

Born into a Sicilian-American vegetable farming family from a small town outside of Buffalo, New York; Charles Pero began his lifelong career as a farmer and businessman for the multi-million dollar, century old, internationally operated and marketed, Pero Vegetable Company-- now located in Delray Beach, Florida.

Being raised around his grandmother who loved to tell stories, Charles developed a passion and talent to portray his own -- his, with mysterious and thrilling twists...which he created into novels about serial killers! Pero developed the Twisted Killer Series and has his own imprint entitled: Pero Thrillers with SterlingHouse Publisher, Inc. The Maze Murderer, Tainted Blood, Torn Apart, and Black Ribbon were all penned under the Twisted Killer Series.

While Charles' career as a farmer started innocently, so did his interest in serial killers: He decided to start researching the subject of serial killers and quickly came to a rather startling conclusion: We love our serial killers. We fear them, yes. We never want our paths to cross, that's true. But, to use the old adage, we are drawn to them like a moth to a flame.

Pero's novels, under his Twisted Killer Series, have already proven to be a successful endeavor; The Maze Murderer has been nationally released, movie rights have been picked up by Marc Entertainment - foreign language rights being negotiated in five languages, featured on the front cover of Publishers Weekly in which he was also favorably reviewed six times, nominated for USA Best Book Awards, Benjamin Franklin Book Awards, as well as the Florida Book Awards. Pero was also premiered at Book Expo America, Show Daily, Boomer Times, Sun Sentinel, Midwest Review, scheduled for a national tour, and the anticipated speaker at the infamous Mar-A-Lago Governor's Club. Pero has been featured on various radio programs nation wide, featured in Radio and Television Interview Report, held a tremendously successful book launch at the Hotel Victor in South Beach, FL with many more anticipated appearances to come.

While traveling for the family business, Charles writes his novels in taxis, airplanes, airports, and hotel rooms where he can reflect and let his creativity flow. He is also the mastermind for the traveling lecture series: "A Killer Mind: An Author's Perspective" which delves into the motives and methods of a serial killer by studying their psychological make-up and secondly, giving tips to help women protect themselves from serial predators.

"Through my writing, I get to step into The Killer Mind and walk back out at will. And maybe the reason we are so drawn to them is because we can walk away."
